Belonging is…. Belonging is feeling valued and dignified. The New Story Group of Waterloo Region held a series of Community Conversations on Belonging that engaged a wide range of sectors and community members on belonging. The New Story Group collected a number of stories from participants on what belonging means to them. One particular story we collected is from someone living with dementia who partnered with a non-profit organization to do work around educating about dementia. This partnership was rewarding
The New Story Group of Waterloo Region is developing an online presence to reach out to community members and agencies interested in building a community where everyone belongs. Our members represent a range of organizations and areas of interest including developmental disabilities, aging, health and well-being, mental health, and neighbourhood development.
